Employees of a large Chicago Web Design Company have an advantage over employees of an independent company and over that of a freelancer.  The reason can be explained in one word, benefits.  When someone is employed with a larger firm there are certain benefits which employers are required to provide by law whether they wish to or not.  Some of which include but are not limited to health insurance, unemployment insurance, and overtime and dependent upon a company’s generosity it can extend into yearend bonuses.  When someone is employed with an independent company or works as a freelancer this is not the case.  Of course it’s always going to be up to the individual which situation is going to be within their best interest.  Typically a smaller company entity is going to need to recycle their financial resources to continue its steady growth.  There are positives to smaller organizations, there is a more intimate atmosphere and you are more than just a random face in the crowd.
